The Zamfara State Speaker of the House of Assembly Rt. Honourable Bilyaminu Moriki, on Sunday visited new Leadership of People Democratic Party (PDP) at the state Party headquarter in Gusau, the State capital.
At the meeting the Speaker while addressing the new party leadership, said he along with some key Principal officers of the House particularly those in the PDP were at the party headquarter to congratulate the new leaders and also to seek for the existence of the party’s Unity and success.
He said there is a need for the party leaders and members to put their head together and unite for the party interest and the people, therefore urged on them to work together and move down across the 14 local government areas to meet with their members.
The Speaker, who was represented by his deputy Hon Adamu Aliyu Gummi, said the unity among the party members is paramount, stressed that “Our need and prayers is to see unity and success in the party, then the state also would progress both socially and economically
Hon Adamu Gummi, maintained that the PDP as a party and the people in the state were very lucky to have an experience and intellectual person Dauda Lawal as Governor of the state who has dedicated himself to ensure his administration be success in rescuing the state from it’s backwardness.
Gummi who called for justice and fairness amongst party member in the state, also assured leadership of the party maximum cooperation from all Honourable members of party in the state House of Assembly.
Those that accompanied the Deputy Speaker includes, the majority leader Hon Bello Muhammad Mazawaje, the Chief Whip of the House Hon. Rilwanu Marafa Anka, and Hon Maharazu Salisu, member Representing Maradun II.
In his response, the state PDP Chairman Dr. Jamilu Jibo Magayaki, thanked the leaders of the state House of Assembly for their kind visit to the party headquarters to congratulate them and also the kind advised been rendered to the new Leadership of the party.
He said, as leaders in the state party PDP, they will give maximum cooperation with all Honourable members of the House particularly the PDP members to ensure the party reached to the highest level of success.
According to him, as they were elected new PDP leaders, they will ensure unity among party members exist and be fair and justice to all to ensure PDP propelled across the state.
The Chairman who highlighted his six points agendas to be executed under his leadership, also said he will make sure PDP concurred all the forthcoming elections to maintained it’s position of Government beyond 2027 general elections.
