Gov Abba Yusuf of Kano State says Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso has made immense contributions to the growth and development of politics and democracy in the country.
Yusuf said this t the wedding reception of Kwankwaso’s daughter, Dr Aisha Kwankwaso, held in Kano on Saturday.
He equally lauded the contribution of Kwankwaso to the growth of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) which formed government in Kano State after the 2023 general elections.
The governor advised the bridegroom, Dr Aisha Kwankwaso and her groom, Fahad Mangal, to cultivate tolerance and understanding among themselves so as to achieve a peaceful married life.
He also emphasised the importance of mutual understanding and respect in building a strong marriage.
He thanked all the guests who attended the wedding fatiha, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
The wedding, which took place at the Palace of the Emir of Kano, was conducted by the Chief Imam of Kano, Prof. Sani Zahraddeen.
Yusuf’s connection to Kwankwaso dates back to many years before he served as Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport during Kwankwaso’s second term as governor of the state. (NAN)
