President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated three Nigerian students who emerged as world champions at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Competition held in London, United Kingdom.
The students — Nafisa Aminu, Rukayya Fema, and Hadiza Kalli — distinguished themselves in English communication and debate, earning global recognition for Nigeria.
In a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu celebrated the students’ exceptional achievements, describing them as “shining examples” of the nation’s promising future.
Seventeen-year-old Nafisa Aminu was named the Overall Best in English language skills; Rukayya Fema, 15, topped the debate category, while Hadiza Kalli received the Outstanding Talent Award (Gold Medal).
The President commended the trio for bringing honour to the country, stating that their success is a testament to the potential of Nigeria’s education system to nurture world-class talent.
“Education is the cornerstone of national development,” Tinubu said, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to substantial investment in the education sector.
He also highlighted the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as a key initiative to eliminate financial obstacles for deserving students.
President Tinubu urged Nafisa, Rukayya, and Hadiza to remain focused in their academic pursuits and wished them continued success in their future endeavours.
