The Ronik Group of Schools, Ejigbo, Lagos State, on Monday said it had introduced a language lab to equip students better for employment across continents.
The Vice-Chairman of the school, Dr Adebola Olubanjo, made this known in a statement in Lagos.
“We have French and now, we are starting Chinese and Spanish among others,” he said.
He said that the school was also determined to ensure effective teaching of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects in an effort to maintain excellence.
Olubanjo appealed to Lagos State Government to hasten completion of construction of the road leading to the school.
“We have to thank the present government of Lagos State. The road is being constructed now, and it is almost finished. They are doing a very good job there,” he said.
Olubanjo said that the school also introduced sports facilities to catch talents early and nurture them.
He said that the introduction of sports facilities was already yielding dividends with the discovery of Emmanuel Akolo, who excelled in the recently-concluded MTN Champs, Lagos, held at the Yaba College of Technology.
“This is to prepare for our students to have a more global outlook.
“It is essential for them to be able to speak and write in other international languages,” he said. (NAN)
