Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has described the passing of Mr Samson Obafisoye , a Plus TV cameraman attached to his office, as a great loss, not only to his family but to the broadcast industry.
Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, said that the late Obafisoye was a thoroughbred professional.
He said that the deceased discharged his duties diligently and contributed his quota to the broadcast media industry in Nigeria.
Sanwo-Olu also commiserated with the family, friends and colleagues of Obafisoye, especially the management and staff members of the Plus TV and the Lagos State Governor’s Office Correspondents (LAGOCO), over his death.
“Mr Samson Obafisoye’s death was a great loss, not only to his family but to the media industry, particularly the management and staff of Plus TV and executive and members LAGOCO.
“He was a diligent and thoroughbred professional. His death was a great shock, but we take solace in the Almighty God that he lived a fulfilled life.
“Obafisoye will be greatly missed. On behalf of my family and the state government, I sympathise with the deceased family, friends, associates, and colleagues.
“I pray that God will grant him eternal rest and grant his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” the governor said. (NAN)
