Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Friday led a high-powered delegation of wives of National Assembly members and state governors on a condolence visit to the Kaduna residence of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The delegation was received by the former First Lady, Dr. Aisha Buhari, in an atmosphere marked by solemnity, compassion, and solidarity. Senator Tinubu and her entourage offered heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family, reflecting on the late President’s legacy and service to the nation.
Accompanying the First Lady were prominent figures including the Wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, the Wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hajia Fatima Tajudeen Abass, the Wife of the Kwara State Governor, Amb. Dr. Olufolake AbdulRazaq, and the Wife of the Kaduna State Governor, Hajia Hafsat Uba Sani, among others.
The visit comes just weeks after Senator Tinubu had similarly led a delegation to the Buhari family home in Daura on July 19, where she was joined by wives of serving governors, ministers, and top security officials in mourning the passing of Nigeria’s former leader.
The First Lady reaffirmed the nation’s continued respect for President Buhari’s contributions to national development and prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family.
