Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, has secured a spot in the Round of 32 of the 2025 President Federation Cup.
The Enugu based team secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Kano Pillars FC in the round of 64 at the Bwari Township Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that both teams struggled to find the back of the net in the first half, as neither side was able to gain advantage.
Meanwhile, Rangers, also known as the Flying Antelopes, returned from the break with renewed determination, as their efforts paid off in the 84th minute when Chiedozie Okorie scored the winning goal.
Okorie’s effort was enough to see the Nigeria Football Professional League (NPFL) champions advance to the round of 32 of the knockout competition.( NAN)
