The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Chief Olamide Oladiji,
has congratulated a former governor of the state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, on his 70th birthday.
Oladiji, in a statement on Thursday in Akure, described Mimiko as a selfless grassroots politician with a track record of numerous achievements in the state, especially during his tenure as governor.
The speaker, who thanked God for the life of the former governor, said that Mimiko was an exceptional personality with a heart of gold.
Oladiji prayed for God to continue to grant the former governor abundant wisdom and knowledge in all his endeavors.
The speaker also congratulated the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Mr Ade Adetimehin, on his 70th birthday.
He described Adetimehin as an innovator and engine room of progressive ideas in the party.
“Sir your progressive ideas have turned around the fortune of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State.
“As Chairman of our great party, you have demonstrated a great deal of “progressivism” such that APC in Ondo State is the party to beat.
” I am glad to be a beneficiary of your progressive movement in Ondo state,” he stated.
The speaker prayed God to grant Adetimehin more prosperous years ahead as he continues to contribute his quota to the development of the country. (NAN)
