Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the nomination of five individuals to serve as members of the Edo State Audit Service Commission.
The announcement was made on Monday via an official government statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.
The nominees are:
- Odior John Osirenimhe – Chairman
- Maimuna Momodu – Member
- Henry Oriabure Yakubu – Member
- Igiebor Terry – Member
- Okojie Omoarelojie Ojie Philip – Member
According to the statement, the nominations will be transmitted to the Edo State House of Assembly for legislative consideration and confirmation.
The Audit Service Commission plays a crucial role in promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency within the public sector, particularly in the management of public funds and oversight of auditing standards across government ministries, departments, and agencies.
This latest move reflects Governor Okpebholo’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional frameworks and enhance good governance in Edo State.
