Gov Monday Okpebholo of Edo, on Monday, inaugurated waste management equipment for the State Waste Management Agency to enhance its performance for a cleaner environment.
The governor, who was accompanied by Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa, Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, and other top government functionaries, emphasised the essence of teamwork in achieving environmental sustainability.
He said that a clean environment would attract investors, pointing out that “cleanliness is next to godliness”.
He urged the agency workers to safeguard the equipment, including pay loaders, compactors, and tippers, and ensure they were used effectively for the benefit of all. (NAN)
