The Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appointed Barrister Kasimu Otono as the new Special Adviser on Oil and Gas.
The appointment, announced on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., follows the suspension of the immediate past Special Adviser, Mr. Felix Isere.
Barr. Otono is a seasoned legal practitioner, real estate entrepreneur, philanthropist, and well-known community mobilizer. He brings to the role a diverse professional background and a strong track record in legal and business affairs.
A member of both the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association, Otono currently serves as Senior Partner at Kay & Kay Legal, a law firm with expertise in Commercial, Real Estate, and Oil & Gas Law and Practice.
The government expressed confidence that his appointment would strengthen policy direction and oversight in Edo State’s critical oil and gas sector.
