NSF: Bayelsa Tops Medals Table With 12 Gold, 6 Silver

Three days into the ongoing National Sports Festival (NSF) in Abeokuta, Bayelsa is leading the medals table with 12 gold, six silver and three bronze medals.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the official medals’ table released by the technical team of the NSF tagged ‘Gateway Games 2024’ indicated that Osun is second with six gold medals.

The table also showed that Rivers State is third five gold, three silver and one bronze medal.

NAN reports that Lagos State is occupying the fourth position with four gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals, followed by Delta State with four gold, four silver and bronze medals.

The table further showed that a total of 152 medals have so far been won by various states participating in the festival.

The NSF is a biennial multi-sport event organised by the Federal Government.

It brings together athletes from all 36 states and the FCT to compete in various sports, promoting national unity, sportsmanship, and excellence across Nigeria.
