Faruq Mati, the President, Mass Communications Students Association (MACOSA) of Kaduna State University (KASU) has called on students to be serious with their students in order to achieve success.
The president made the call during the MACOSA week celebration held in the school campus on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the programme began on September 2 and would end on September 6 with seminars, colouful festivals and cultural displays marking the event.
He stated that the event was organised to entertain the final year students who have undergone studies for four years as well as showcase the activities of the department to the school.
Mati, who is also a final year student, urged the next executives of the association to continue making the department proud by organizing events that would benefit the students.
He said he would like to specialise in photography after graduation and venture into a profitable business.
Other students at the event also expressed their excitement, saying such events were necessary for students to unwind and release school stress.
Hussaina Mudassir said that she wants to become a broadcaster because she prefers to be shown than be heard only.
Similarly , Abdullahi Muhammad,, one of the organisers of the event said the MACOSA week was not all entertainment, adding that a seminar was held to educate the students on job opportunities for the graduates of the field.(NAN)
