Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to meet with key political stakeholders on Monday in preparation for the upcoming local government elections scheduled for 12 July.
According to a statement released on Sunday by Seye Oladejo, Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, the high-level meeting will bring together party leaders, candidates, and both elected and appointed officials under the APC banner.
The gathering, which will take place at the State House in Marina at noon, is intended to galvanise support and coordinate campaign efforts across the state’s 57 local government areas and 376 wards.
“This meeting is a strategic rallying point aimed at mobilising our political base ahead of the polls,” Oladejo said.
He praised the continued backing of Lagos residents for the party’s developmental agenda, noting that the APC’s policies had delivered significant progress in key sectors such as education, healthcare, housing, and social welfare.
Oladejo expressed confidence that these achievements at the local level would translate into widespread electoral success for APC candidates.
The APC had earlier presented official flags to its 57 chairmanship and 376 councillorship aspirants in a flag-off event held last Tuesday at the party’s state headquarters in Ogba, Lagos. That event marked the formal start of its campaign activities.
