Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, former Governor of Kano State, has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing it as a major loss for Nigeria.
In a personally signed condolence message issued on Sunday and shared with journalists, Kwankwaso reflected on Buhari’s decades of service to the nation, both as a military leader and as a democratically elected president.
“I received the news of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s passing with profound shock,” Kwankwaso stated.
He extended heartfelt condolences to Buhari’s family, the government and people of Katsina State, and all Nigerians mourning the former leader.
Kwankwaso praised Buhari’s contributions to national unity, stability, and development, and prayed for Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal peace.
“This is a difficult moment for our nation as we mourn a leader who devoted many years of his life to serving our country,” he added.
