Yusuf made this call during the 64th Independence Anniversary celebrations held at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
He emphasised that the labour of the country’s forefathers should not be in vain
The governor highlighted his administration’s commitment to providing laudable projects for the general populace, focusing on sectors such as education, health, agriculture, tourism, and youth empowerment.
He specifically mentioned declaring a state of emergency on education to restore the sector’s lost glory, which has started yielding positive results
Yusuf encouraged residents of the state to reflect on the nation’s progress, recognize missed opportunities, and ensure that past errors do not persist.
He explained that the present administration would continue to initiate policy and programmes that would enhance the well-being of the governed irrespective of party affiliation.
“I appeal to residents to continue to support the present administration in its resolve towards implementing people’s oriented policy and programmes,’’ he said.
