The Imane Muslim Association of Nigeria (IMAN) has congratulated Barrister Abubakar Usman Yahaya, the Managing Director/CEO of Nur-Kareem Energy Nigeria Ltd, on his recent and historic call to the Nigerian Bar, describing it as a momentous milestone and a source of collective pride for the Imane community and beyond.
In a formal message signed by its Amir, Abdullahi Musa, and addressed to the newly-minted lawyer, IMAN lauded Mr Yahaya’s “rare resilience, unyielding determination, and indomitable can-do spirit” which defined his journey through the rigorous legal path.
“This milestone is not only a personal triumph but a remarkable moment in our community’s history,” the association stated. “You have not only broken barriers but also built bridges of hope for the younger generation in Imane and beyond.”
Mr Yahaya, an accomplished energy entrepreneur, was hailed by the association for demonstrating that “greatness is not stumbled upon—it is earned, often through quiet struggle, sleepless nights, and steadfast belief.”
IMAN emphasized that his choice to pursue law reflects a deep commitment to justice, equity, and service to humanity—principles which, according to the statement, lie at the core of both Islamic values and national development.
“As you don the wig and gown, may Allah (SWT) continue to guide your steps, grant you wisdom in all your deliberations, and make you a beacon of justice in our nation,” the statement added.
IMAN described the development as both historic and symbolic, noting that Mr Yahaya’s accomplishment would serve as a powerful inspiration for aspiring professionals across Egbira land and Nigeria at large.
The call to bar of Mr Yahaya comes amid growing recognition of non-traditional career trajectories pursued by private sector leaders seeking to contribute to public service through the legal profession.
