Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo has announced the appointment of Mr Ahola Orgeh as its new Registrar.
This is contained in a statement by Mr Lucky Eboho-Onokwe, the Deputy Director of Public Relations of the university on Monday in Benin.
Eboho-Onokwe said Orgeh’s appointment takes effect from July 1, following the end of tenure of the outgoing Registrar, Mr Friday Bakare.
He described Orgeh as a seasoned university administrator with a proven track record of excellence.
He said the new registrar brought over two decades of experience across leading institutions of higher learning in Nigeria.
“Mr Orgeh is a graduate of Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Labour Relations from the University of Ibadan.
“He is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria (FCAI).
“He’s also a member of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA); the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA),” the deputy director said.
He noted that Orgeh, prior to his appointment, held the position of Deputy Registrar at several universities, including the University of Agriculture, Makurdi; Federal University of Technology, Akure; and Benue State University, Makurdi.
“Orgeh previously served in the Registry Division at Igbinedion University, making his return to Okada a welcome homecoming.
“We are confident that his vast experience and dedication to excellence will drive administrative efficiency and reinforce our commitment to academic and institutional advancement,” Eboho-Onokwe said. (NAN)
