The Managing Director of Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority, Dr Femi Adekanmbi, says hardwork is the yardstick for new appointments made by President Bola Tinubu.
Adekanmbi, in a statement on Sunday in Akure, congratulated all the newly-appointed individuals, describing their appointments as well-deserved.
He stated that they had worked tirelessly for All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly during the presidential campaign that led to Tinubu’s victory.
Adekanmbi praised the wealth of experience and expertise of the new appointees and said they were perfect for their new roles.
“H.E Abdullahi U. Ganduje, the former Governor of Kano State, has been appointed as board chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
“With his extensive experience in public administration and governance, I am optimistic that Ganduje will bring about significant improvements in the aviation sector,” he said.
He commended the president for appointing the National Secretary of APC, Sen. Bashiru Ajibola, as chairman of the National Sugar Development Council, describing him as a man of immense intellectual capacity.
“Similarly, Chief D.I. Kekemeke, a former APC chairman, Ondo State, has been appointed as chairman of the Nigerian Postal Service (NPS).
“I praise Kekemeke’s expertise and track record of achievements, and I know that his leadership will be instrumental in revitalising the postal service and enhancing its contributions to the national economy,” he said.
The APC chieftain lauded the president for appointing Mr Durosimi Meseko from Kogi, the APC deputy national publicity secretary, to head the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBBRI).
According to him, Meseko is a man with a special touch that will make a great impact at the institute.
“The appointment of the National Youth Leader of APC, Mr Dayo Isreal, is commendable, he will make the youths proud with his appointment as chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta.
“Furthermore, I also express my joy and gratitude for the appointment of Hon Kolawole Raji as Director-General of the National Board for Technological Incubation.
“This is a man that the whole Oyo State celebrated when his appointment was announced.
“His wealth of experience in management capacity will make a great impact in lifting the standard of the centre,” he stated.
Adekanmbi wished all the appointees success in their new roles and assured of his support and cooperation in their endeavors to drive positive change and progress in their respective sectors.(NAN)
