A youth group, Gombe Progressive Minds for Good Governance, has praised a philanthropist in the state, Dr. Ali Bappayo for his humanitarian activities particularly in the areas of education scholarship and intervention in terms of clean water in communities facing water shortage.
The group’s coordinator, Abdullahi M. Saminu, in a press release issued to journalists on Friday, praised Dr. Bappayo’s initiatives, saying they have significantly improved the socio-economic well-being of the residents of the state.
“Dr. Bappayo’s efforts include providing pipe-borne water through borehole construction in various parts of Gombe and offering scholarships to less-privileged students with five O’level credits, including English and Mathematics.
“These initiatives have brought relief to many parents struggling with economic hardship”, he said.
The youth group has gone further to endorse Dr. Bappayo’s bid for the House of Representatives seat in the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye federal constituency in 2027.
“Let’s unite again and promote the good work and highly commendable selfless service by this true democrat and intellectual prodigy, a rare gem who takes humanity first as his agenda,” Saminu stated.
