A fuel attendant, Sunday Olasunkanmi, 20, on Wednesday, was brought before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over alleged theft of N859,600.

Olasunkanmi, a fuel attendant at OBX Filling Station, Toll Gate, Ibadan, was charged with theft, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, Insp Olagoke Adegbenro, told the court that Olasunkanmi committed the offence on Feb.16, at about 8:00p.m., at the filling station.

Adegbenro said the defendant stole the money belonging to his employer without his consent.

He said the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 and with two sureties in like sum.

Sanusi-Zubair held that the sureties must be biological parents of the defendant and gainfully employed.

She, thereafter, adjourned the case until March 4, for hearing. (NAN)
