The Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) says it received 35 complaints in the month of August.
The Commander of NHFSS in Kano State, Abdullahi Al-ameen, made this known in an interview on Wednesday in Kano.
He said the service is trying its best to deliver on its mandate, including prevention, detection of crimes and illegal activities perpetrated in the forests.
According to him, out of the 35 complainants, 27 have been treated, while eight are pending.
“Most of the cases were on arm robbery, animal theft, phone theft, tricycle and motorcycle theft, vandalism among others.
“We will continue to secure and make forest crime free zone”,he said.
He urged the public to cooperate with the service and law abiding.(NAN)
