Gov Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to rural development as a catalyst for economic growth in the state.
Fintiri made the statement at a courtesy visit by the Ganye Chiefdom, led by Alhaji Umaru Sanda, the paramount ruler, on Monday in Yola.
The governor emphasised that his administration would prioritise infrastructural development in rural areas in the 2025 financial year and beyond.
He assured the people of Ganye Chiefdom that his administration would construct the Jada, Mbulo, Ganye road to boost economic development and agricultural activities in the area.
Fintiri also warned those involved in illegal mining in the area that anyone caught would face the full force of the law.
He stressed that his administration would not tolerate any acts disrupting the peace and security of the state.
The governor urged the people of the Chiefdom to support government policies and programmes for the development of the state.
In response, the paramount ruler, Ganwari Ganye, thanked and appreciated the governor for addressing illegal mining in the area.
He assured Fintiri of 100 per cent loyalty and commitment to his administration’s transformative efforts.
Muhammad Bassi, a member representing Mayo-Belwa/Jada/Ganye/Toungo federal constituency, commended Fintiri for transforming the state across all sectors.
He urged the governor to find a credible successor to continue his legacy come 2027.(NAN)
