Talented Nigerian fashion designer, Oluwaseun Kuforiji, popularly known as Koil Creation, has achieved an impressive milestone by hand-sewing 10 complete traditional outfits within 72 hours.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that this accomplishment is part of the 120-hour Sew-A-Thon, an initiative designed to set a Guinness World Record.
Speaking to NAN on Sunday, Kuforiji attributed his success to his focus and exceptional craftsmanship, which enabled him to create intricate designs.
“They include Agbada, Danshiki, Kimonos, and Long Gowns, all using nothing but a needle and thread.
“This extraordinary achievement is not only about setting a Guinness World Record but also celebrating the timeless elegance of African fashion.
“It’s a way to honour our culture, inspire young creatives, and showcase the strength of Nigerian talent to the world, “ he added.
The Sew-A-Thon has garnered attention, celebrating the remarkable blend of skill, endurance, and cultural pride.
The event has drawn local and online support, with commendations from Tai Solarin University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwole Banjo, and his team.
As a proud alumnus of Tai Solarin University of Education, Kuforiji was praised for his dedication and exceptional talent.
