Dr Ibrahim Goni, Conservator-General (C-G) of the National Park Service (NPS), has commended Ahmed Abdullahi, a retiring Assistant Conservator-General (AC-G), for his contributions to conservation in Nigeria.
The C-G gave the commendation during Abdullahi’s pull-out ceremony on Wednesday in Abuja.
“Over the years, he has contributed immensely to the protection and preservation of Nigeria’s rich natural heritage, ensuring that future generations continue to benefit from the beauty and biodiversity of our Parks.
“Beyond his professional achievements, AC-G Abdullahi has been an inspiration to many, a mentor to young officers, and a guiding force in advancing our conservation efforts.
“His wisdom, dedication, and tireless service have left an indelible mark on the National Park Service, and his legacy will undoubtedly endure,” Goni said.
He added that Abdullahi’s steady rise through the ranks to the position of AC-G is a testament to his hard work, expertise, and leadership.
“Abdullahi has exemplified professionalism, commitment, and an unwavering passion for conservation,” the C-G noted.
In response, Abdullahi expressed his satisfaction with having served the nation’s conservation efforts for 33 years. (NAN)
