Bandits Kill Police Officer, Vigilantee In Sokoto

Suspected armed bandits have in the early hour of Monday, killed a police officer, Inspector Eze and one other local vigilatee officer in the process.
Sokoto police command spokesperson, ASP Ahmed Rufai, who confirmed the incident said, bandits ambush the officers at their check point.
Earlier in another incident on Sunday, ASP Rufai also confirmed the neutralizing of a member of an armed bandit along Sokoto – Isa road.
“They bandits ambush a police checkpoint at Milgoma junction along Sokoto – Bodinga road and shot them at close range.
“One policeman, Inspector Eze was killed while another local vigilantee also died in the process,” he added
He further explained that in another shootout which happens on Sunday evening, a member of an armed bandit was killed and, one AK 49 was retrieved  in the process.
Probed further, ASP Rufai promised to provide more updates when he gets proper briefings from the DPOs, under whose jurisdiction the incidents happened.
