The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has officially inaugurated its first elected executive committee for the Katsina State chapter, marking a significant milestone in its regional engagement efforts.
The newly elected chairman, Alhaji Shehu Musa, expressed gratitude following the ceremony on Sunday, offering thanks to Almighty God for the successful completion of the election and inauguration process.
Addressing members of the forum and guests at the event, Shehu pledged that the leadership team would remain committed to fulfilling its mandate and responding to the needs of the wider community.
He paid tribute to the chapter’s founding members, particularly Senator Ibrahim Idah, the Wazirin Katsina, for their dedication and foundational work. “They gave their time and resources selflessly to set the stage for what we are witnessing today,” Shehu noted.
Promising inclusive leadership, Shehu emphasised that the forum would not operate based on individual interests but on collective aspirations. “We are one family. Elections may produce winners and losers, but we hold no bias. Our priority is service to the people of Katsina, the northern region, and Nigeria as a whole,” he said.
He called for unity and cooperation among all stakeholders to achieve the shared goal of sustainable development in the region.
Other elected officers include Hajiya Wasila Sani-Saulawa as Vice Chair, Alhaji Bello Iro-Dabai as Secretary, and Alhaji Abdulkadir Isa as Assistant Secretary. Hajiya A’isha Dauda-Daura was named Treasurer, with Alhaji Sada Salisu-Ruma and Lawal Kasimu elected as Publicity Secretary and Deputy Publicity Secretary, respectively.
