In a landmark intervention and demonstration of responsive leadership, Hon. Nyampa Dauda Zakaria, member of the Federal House of Representatives for Madagali/Michika, today distributed a package of agricultural inputs to farmers across all the 26 wards of his constituency.
This initiative underscores a strategic effort to enhance food security, reduce rural poverty, and catalyze sustainable economic growth in a region where agriculture remains the primary livelihood.
Madagali and Michika local government areas, though rich in arable land, have long faced challenges arising from rising input costs, limited access to modern farming tools, and outdated agronomic practices. Recognising these constraints, Hon. Nyampa crafted a working solution.
The ceremony was graced by: Hon. Moses Yerima Zah, Member, Adamawa State House of Assembly (Michika)
-Hon. Haruna JJ, Member, Adamawa State House of Assembly (Madagali)
-Dr. Ishaya Dabari, Commissioner for Commerce, Trade & Industry, Adamawa State
-Hon. Dan Biyu, chairman, Michika local government area and Hon. Amos K. Drambi, former chairmen of Michika LGA
-Emmanuel Fungus, PDP chairman, Michika and many others too numerous to mention .
Hon. Nyampa’s Address
“We are aligning with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s agricultural vision. Governor Fintiri is our mentor, a true democrat and the best leader we’ve ever had. By God’s grace, we will not rest until our people are happy.”
He also encouraged youths to shun social vices, remain engaged in community development, and continue supporting the PDP, citing the party’s record of progress under Governor Fintiri.
Dr. Stephen Maduwa Ubandoma Michika officially flagged off the distribution, marking the start of what promises to be a sustained series of support initiatives for farmers.
Beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation, describing the intervention as timely and transformative. This event underscores the power of people centered leadership and collaborative governance.
Together, we move forward one farmer, one ward, one step at a time.
