In a move aimed at strengthening leadership within the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike, has confirmed eight Acting Directors as substantive Directors.
In a statement signed by the management of FCDA, the announcement was made by the Executive Secretary of the FCDA, Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmad, following communication from the immediate past Head of the Civil Service of the FCT, Dr. Udo Atang.
The confirmed Directors, who have served in various acting capacities, are as follows, Engr. Jatto Abdulkareem, who was a former acting director of Engineering Infrastructure Rehabilitation, now confirmed director of Engineering Infrastructure Rehabilitation.
Tpl. Nasiru Suleiman, a former acting director of Resettlement and Compensation, now director, Resettlement and Compensation, Engr. Richard Yunana Dauda, former acting director, Engineering Services, now director, Engineering Services, Surv. Charity M. Olla, former overseeing director of Surveying & Mapping, now director of Surveying & Mapping
Also, Yakubu Abubakar, former overseeing director, Legal Services, now director of Legal Services, Engr. Abdulrahim Muhammad Zulqarnain former overseeing director, Engineering Design & Evaluation, now director of Engineering Design & Evaluation.
Others are Arc. Hassan Haruna Musa, former overseeing director of Public Building, now director of Public Building and Maryam Ada Ameh, former overseeing director of Internal Audit, now director of Internal Audit.
The management and staff of the FCDA expressed their profound gratitude to the Minister for this timely approval, emphasising that it will significantly boost the morale of the newly confirmed directors and enhance their productivity.
The Management said that the decision aligns with the broader objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration, which aims to foster effective governance and better public service delivery in the FCT.
The newly appointed directors are expected to leverage their experience and expertise to drive key projects and initiatives that will contribute to the infrastructural and developmental goals of the FCT.
