Team Lagos on Tuesday sustained their return to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 win over a star studded Team Unijos.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that goals in both half of the game gave a more resolute Team UNILAG the much needed victory.
Team UNILAG got the first goal via a lovely finish from Doyin Omotosho in the 3rd minute of the first half.
The host, team UNILAG however waited until the 74th minute of the second half before a tricky move from Samuel Olopade did the second magic to put the game off Team Unijos.
The coach of Team Unijos, John Parlong commended his young team, adding that the better team lost.
“We are the better team today, only that Team Lagos were able to convert their chances against us.
“We can boast of one of the best squad in this competition and the youngest. The boys were assembled about two months ago.
“Most of the players are in 200 level, so they have bright future ahead of them,”he said.
Team UNILAG defender, Chukwudi Odili said that the team would continue to grow in confidence.
“We are now getting relaxed because we are getting more confident.
“Our target remains unchallenged, Team UNILAG for gold,”he said. (NAN)
