Mr Nasara Rabo, the Executive Chairman, Kagarko Local Government of Kaduna State, has commended Mr Gabriel Zock, who represents Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency, for quality representation.
Rabo gave the commendation on Friday in a press statement issued to journalists in Kaduna.
According to him, the party executives and the constituents are impressed with Zock’s record of achievements since his assumption of office.
He said Zock had, in no small measure, advanced the party’s principles and ideals in all ramifications, going by the series of achievements recorded within his second term in office.
Rabo lauded the empowerment of 500 women who were selected across the 22 wards that make up the Federal Constituency with N37 million grants.
He further recalled that the lawmaker recently disbursed N100 million to small-scale and medium business owners to boost economic activities and livelihoods.
He also recalled that four cars worth N36 million were presented to his party chairmen and Directors of his campaign, and a N15 million cash given to religious leaders for their peace efforts.
“As a chairman of Kagarko LGA, I applaud his performance. He is doing very well.
“We’re so proud to associate with the laudable achievements of Gabriel Zock in his quest to bring succour and dividend of democracy closer to the people.
“It is a fact that Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency has continued to witness tremendous progress in the areas of youth and women empowerment; entrepreneurship and vocational development and provision of social amenities.
“His re-election bid had not only upheld the party’s principles and ideals of teaching people how to fish but has shown greater commitment toward fulfilling his promises to the electorate during the last general elections.”
He said that the gestures would continue to attract more recognition, accolades and entrance of more members into the party’s fold, ahead of the October 19 Council elections.
“With a series of achievements recorded so far, I express my support and confidence in the lawmaker’s ability and capability of attracting development in our Federal Constituency.
“We must not fail to recognise some of the projects and programmes, including sinking of motorised boreholes, scholarships distribution amongst many others,” Rabo said.
The local government chairman, however, urged members of the APC to remain committed and dedicated in order to achieve more victories for the party in future elections.
It would be recalled that the Appeal Court had, on Oct. 19, 2023, declared the March 18, 2023 Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency election inconclusive and ordered a fresh election in the entire constituency.
After the supplementary election, the APC lawmaker was declared winner with 42,461, beating his closest rival, Umar Gurara of the PDP, who polled 26,208 votes.
Mr Austine Umar of the Labour Party (LP) trailed behind with 2,311 votes. (NAN)
