Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr Danladi Jatau, has said the assembly would continue to enact robust health laws to improve the health status of the state’s residents.
The speaker gave the assurance on Friday in Lafia when he hosted officials of the state’s Association of Resident Doctors.
Jatau also assured of effective synergy and support to tackle the health challenges of residents, commending the association for living up to its responsibilities in improving the state’s health status.
He also appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for prioritising health and other sectors in the state.
The speaker called for continued support for him and the administration of Gov. Sule to succeed.
He donated N500,000 for the development of the association.
Earlier, Dr Jude Isha-Yekpowudu, the association’s president, said the visit was to identify with the speaker and appreciate his laudable leadership.
“We want to appreciate you for uniting members and for your purposeful leadership.”
The president solicited the financial support of the speaker to enable the association to conduct medical outreach.
