His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco has sent his condolences to President Bola Tinubu following the passing of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement, the monarch expressed sympathy to President Tinubu, Buhari’s family and the people of Nigeria, describing the death as a “sad occurrence.”
King Mohammed VI paid tribute to Buhari as an “illustrious leader” dedicated to serving Nigeria’s best interests and advancing the nation’s prosperity.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the bereaved,” he said, reflecting on past working sessions held with the late president.
He noted that these meetings led to the launch of significant development projects, ushering in a new chapter of friendship and cooperation between Nigeria and Morocco.
