Stakeholders have emphasised the need for key players in critical sectors to design policies that will positively impact human capital development programme.
They made the remarks at the A1 Stakeholders Consultation and Sensitisation Workshop on Human Capital Development Programme Phase 2.
The workshop, held at Zaranda Hotel Bauchi, brought together experts and policymakers to discuss strategies for enhancing human capital development in the state.
Speaking at the workshop, Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammad, represented by his deputy, Mohammad Auwal Jatau, stated that the present administration is giving the needed attention to critical sectors working with development partners to support Human Capital Development Programme.
“We are committed to providing the necessary support and resources to ensure the success of the programme,” he said.
The governor pledged sustained funding for programmes supporting human capital development, emphasising the importance of human capital development in achieving sustainable economic growth and improving the quality of lives of citizens.
State focal person of the programme, Yuhuza Adamu Ningi, said human capital development is critical to achieving sustainable economic growth and development.
“We need to invest in education, healthcare, and skills development to unlock the potential of our citizens”, he said.
Permanent secretary of the state ministry of budget and economic planning, Jibrin Muhammad Yusuf, pledged continued support of the ministry to the programme to help address poverty, foster sustainable economic growth, and improves State’s Human Capital Indices.
