Former Nigerian Vice President, Namadi Sambo, has lauded the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, for his ambitious infrastructure renewal initiatives transforming the state.
In a statement released on Monday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, Sambo voiced his commendation during a condolence visit to Governor Yusuf following the death of prominent businessman and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
Sambo further applauded the governor’s decisive move to declare a state of emergency in the education sector, describing these actions as “giant strides” that have visibly impacted Kano’s development landscape.
Governor Yusuf, in his response, expressed gratitude for the visit and the encouraging words, reiterating his administration’s dedication to reviving Kano’s historical standing through focused governance and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of residents.
The former Vice President was joined on the visit by notable figures, including the Chairman of Unity Bank and the former Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Muhammad Sani Sidi.
Separately, a delegation led by former Niger State Governor, Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, also extended their condolences to Governor Yusuf.
