The Ogun State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, says the command will on July 6 commerce training for candidates who have successfully passed the recent recruitment process.
This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen by Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Alade Adedigba (Rtd) on Wednesday in Abeokuta.
According to Adedigba, the gesture was part of the corps commitment to strengthening the operational capacity and ensuring effective maintenance of law and order within the State.
He noted that the training initiative was in line with Amotekun standard practice, and designed to equip the newly recruited personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge for operational efficiency and effective discharge of their duties.
“Shortlisted candidates are expected to report for the training exercise scheduled to commence from Sunday, July 6 to Friday, July, 18 at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Sagamu by 8:00am.
“We encouraged the candidates to adequately prepare for this essential training, and arrive on time to facilitate a smooth induction process.
”Candidates are required to bring the following items: bucket , broom , cutlass , two pairs of white round-neck T-shirts , two pairs of white shorts/knickers”
“Other items to come with includes two pairs of white tennis sneakers, two pairs of white socks, two pairs of white bedsheets.
“Writing materials jotters, pens, pencils, sharpener, erasers) , two files containing passport photographs and original and photocopies of credentials , Bank Verification Number (BVN) and National Identification Number (NIN),” he said.
Adedigba urged all recruits to adhere to the instructions provided and fully cooperate with the camp officials throughout the training period to ensure its success.
“The Corps congratulates the successful candidates and appreciate their courage, cooperation and commitment to serving with the Amotekun Corps,” he said.(NAN)
