The Arewa Revival Project, in collaboration with allied civic organizations, has uncovered a coordinated plot by certain political elements to blackmail and undermine the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through orchestrated protests and media smear campaigns.

In a joint statement released in Abuja, the group condemned what it described as “a desperate attempt to destabilize the country under the guise of civil agitation.”

The primary targets of this calculated campaign, according to credible intelligence, include top government officials such as: • Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Lateef Fagbemi
• Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief George Akume • Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio • Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede
In a statement jointly signed by  Hon. Muttaka Ahmed Ibrahim Coordinator
Arewa Revival Project   Alhaji Abdullahi Musa Argungu Chairman Mass Integration For Peace Initiative in Nigeria  Alhaji Bawa Ibrahim Arah Acting President National Youth Mobilisation for Good Leadership  Amb. Dr. Johnny Benjamin Director General Society for Advancement of Credible Leadership Ideas and Observation   Engr. Ismail Hussain President Arewa Youth Development Forum.
These attacks, the group warned, are not accidental but are part of a broader political strategy to erode public confidence in key institutions and discredit loyal servants of the Federal Republic.

The group urged Nigerians—especially Northern youth and civil society—to resist being used as pawns in this dangerous game of blackmail and destabilization. They reaffirmed their support for the Tinubu administration and called for calm and vigilance across the nation.

The groups jointly demand the following: 1. Immediate investigations by relevant security and intelligence agencies into the origins and sponsors of the planned protests.
Collective vigilance from traditional, religious, and community leaders in safeguarding national unity. . Responsible media engagement to prevent the spread of divisive propaganda.

They emphasized that the peace and progress of Nigeria must not be sacrificed on the altar of selfish political ambition.
