Team Nigeria’s pair of Kudoro and Salami on Wednesday in Lima, Peru failed to advance beyond the opening round in their respective events.

Taiwo Kudoro finished seventh in heat 6 of the opening round in the women’s 400 metres hurdles event, after recording a time of one minute 01.51 seconds.

In the men’s version of the event, Oseiwe Salami was also a poor finisher in seventh place in heat 5 after a time of 54.06 seconds.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that both athletes would now wait for their involvement in other events at the championships for any hope of finishing on the podium.

The championships which began on Tuesday in the Peruvian capital city is billed to end on Saturday.(NAN)
