Criticism of Belarus by the European Union and some other countries using sanction threats after the presidential election only leads to deterioration of relations.
Normalisation of relations can be beneficial for solving problems in Europe, the Belarusian Foreign Minister, Maxim Ryzhenkov said on Tuesday.
“We regret to note the continuation of groundless criticism of Belarus by some Western countries using cliched labels and sanctions threats.
“We are forced to note that this statement of the EU and other countries deliberately distorts the facts and does not take into account the objective realities in Belarus and the world.’’
The ministry said in a statement.
Such rhetoric is being used amid the West’s own systemic problems, growing internal disunity, and the deterioration of the collective West’s position in the international arena, the statement added. (RIA/NAN)
