Gov Nasir Idris of Kebbi, has inaugurated the construction of N2.3 billion Maidangwami-Kangi road in Fakai Local Government area.
Speaking at the inauguration on Tuesday at Fakai Local Government, Idris said the road was among the priority projects conceived by his administration .
“This is a fulfillment of my campaign promise when I sought your mandate in the 2023 elections.
“The people of Kangi supported me and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to win, honestly I feel happy, whenever we visited this town,” he said.
Idris assured the contractor that the government would provide necessary support to execute quality job in accordance with contractual agreement.
Earlier, the state Commissioner for Agriculture, Alhaji Shehu Muazu, said the road was part of the 350 kilometres rural road projects under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), approved in 2023 by the governor.(NAN)
