A delegation of Bauchi State Primary Health Care Board was, on Tuesday, at the Plateau State Primary Health Care Board to enhance its practices and foster inter-state collaboration and knowledge sharing.
The Commissioner for Health in Plateau, Dr Cletus Shurkuk, while receiving the delegation which paid him a courtesy call in Jos, said the study was a significant step toward effective knowledge and expertise sharing between the two states.
Shurkuk said that the study would, in turn, boost the quality of healthcare delivery in both states, especially at the primary level.
Earlier, Dr Adamu Mohammed, Director, Disease Control and Immunisation at Bauchi State Primary Health Care Board, who led the delegation, said the visit was aimed at understudying the operations and procedures of the Plateau State Primary Health Care Board.
Mohammed said that the delegates had engaged in series of interactive sessions, collaborative discussions and site visits to some primary healthcare centres in the state.
According to him, the insights and shared ideas will help in enhancing the quality of health care delivery at the primary level. (NAN)
