Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State, has cast his vote at the LEA Kawo polling unit O47, Kawo-Kaduna, in Saturday’s local government elections.
Sani expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the local government elections across the state.
He said that the elections have been generally free, fair, and peaceful, with only minor issues reported in three polling units and wards.
The Governor emphasised the importance of local government elections, stating that the turnout across the 23 local government areas was satisfactory.
He added that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had campaigned extensively throughout the state.
Sani also urged the voters to remain peaceful, reminding them that in every election, there are winners and losers.
He expressed confidence that the process would result in credible outcomes.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) however reports that the polling booths had opened several hours behind schedule.
Several voters across the state had decried the delay in the arrival of electoral officials and voting materials. (NAN)
