Gov Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has promised more development if elected in the Nov. 16 governorship election in the state.
Aiyedatiwa stated this in Ore, Odigbo Local Government, on Wednesday, while addressing supporters at the conclusion the campaign tour of the three senatorial districts of the state.
The governor, the APC candidate for the Nov. 16 election, said that he would deliver more impactful projects, if elected.
He said that the achievements of his administration so far were signs of good things to come.
The governor expressed gratitude to the people for their support, attributing it to the tangible development his administration had brought to the state.
“You have not seen anything yet, there are more development projects coming, and I am committed to transforming every part of this state.
“APC remains a united, indivisible family, and every leader in our party is focused on a single goal, which is our victory on Nov. 16.
“The love and support you have shown to me and our party are as a result of the progress you have seen; you recognise the difference we have made, and you want that progress to continue,” he said.
Aiyedatiwa urged his supporters to turn the massive support they had shown him to votes on the day of the election.
The Director-General of the Aiyedatiwa Campaign, Mr Abiola Makinde, called on the supporters to remain united and resist any distractions during the campaign.
“This election is about progress, and we cannot afford to lose focus. Gov. Aiyedatiwa has proven his capacity to lead, and with your support, we will secure victory,” he said.
In his remarks, a prominent APC leader, Mr Olusola Oke, expressed confidence in the party’s stronghold in the southern district of the state.
“The South belongs to the APC, the people here know the governor’s track record, and they stand firmly with him. We will deliver victory for Gov. Aiyedatiwa, ” he said
The State APC Chairman, Mr Ade Adetimehin, assured the governor that the party was well-prepared to win the election in all 18 local government areas.
“We are confident that Governor Aiyedatiwa will win across the state, the governor has the people’s trust, and I am sure the governor will continue to prioritise the development and welfare of citizens.” he said.(NAN)
