Action Alliance (AA) has urged its members across the country to validate their membership in order to participate in the party’s 2025 national congress and convention.
The party’s National Secretary, Mr James Vernimbe, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja.
Vernimbe said that the party was currently carrying out a nationwide update of its membership register to validate old members and admit new ones.
According to him, only members whose names are on the membership register of the party will be able to participate in the 2025 congress and national convention.
“We have been directed by the National Think Tank Committee (NTTC) of Action Alliance (AA) to inform party members across Nigeria and the general public that the committee has approved update of the party’s membership register nationwide.
“This exercise is pursuant to Electoral Act 2022, as amended and Action Alliance 2005 Constitution, as amended.
“This important exercise is scheduled to hold from Oct. 18 to Dec. 31 at the party’s ward headquarters nationwide between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily, excluding Saturday and Sunday,” he said.
The party official urged existing members across the country to use the exercise to revalidate their membership to secure their position at the 2025 convention.
He also called on all state chairmen to ensure that eligible Nigerians of 18 years and above willing to register with the party were registered without any delay. (NAN)
