The 2024 Nigerian-German Investment and Cultural Expo (NGICE) Organising Committee has sought the support of Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) to ensure success of the upcoming expo scheduled to be held in Berlin, Germany from Nov. 26 to 30.

The committee made call in a statement jointly signed by the NGICE Organising Committee Chairman and Vice Chairman, Dr Mike Okiro and Hon. Kaulaha Aliyu respectively.

According to the statement, Amb. Chielo Ojirika, the Director-General of Salute Nigeria Initiative/Coordinator of NGICE, led the committee to pay a courtesy visit to Chief Executive Officer/ Executive Secretary of NIPC, Ms. Aisha Rimi, in Abuja.

The theme of the expo is “Unlocking Nigeria’s Investment Potentials for Industrial Revolution” and sub-theme – “Cultural Export: Key Opportunities for Foreign Direct Investment”.

The NGICE coordinator, who represented the former Inspector-General of Police, Okiro and first Republic Parliamentarian, Aliyu, said the purpose of the visit was to request the support of NIPC to ensure the success of the expo.

He added that it would boost multi-agency and private sector efforts aimed at improving foreign direct investments, thereby complementing President Bola Tinubu’s determination to diversify and rebuild the Nigeria economy.

“The upcoming expo will showcase our culture as a good promotional tool in advancing international relations, through cultural exchange between Nigeria and Germany.

“The expo will also focus on power, renewable energy, mining, oil & gas, agro-allied, automotive, ICT, marine business, security management, housing development, creative/entertainment industry, transportation etc.

“The participants expected at the expo include: German investors, captains of commerce and industry, State Governors, foreign and local investors, ministers and high-ranking government officers, Chief Executives of Agencies as well as stakeholders from the organised private sector.”
