The Saudi Ministry of Commerce has announced that over 234 million commodities and food products were supplied to pilgrims at holy sites during this year’s Hajj season.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the essential items included beverages like juices and soft drinks as well as dairy products like milk and other dairy items.
Others were food essentials like bottled water, baked goods, and canned foods and other products,.made up of a wide range of consumer goods.
The ministry took several steps to ensure the availability of goods, including monitoring operations, stock checks, supply chain oversight, and compliance inspections.
This effort was implemented in coordination with various government agencies and in partnership with the private sector, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to hospitality, safety, and Vision 2030 goals.( NAN)
