A Kaduna Chief Magistrates Court, on Thursday ordered the remand of two motorcyclists, Lucky Barnabas, 35 and Danladi Musa, 37, in a Correctional facility over alleged armed robbery.
The defendants of unknown addresses, are facing a three-count of armed robbery, unlawful possession of dangerous weapon and conspiracy.
The Magistrate, Mr Ibrahim Emmanuel, did not take the plea of the defendants for want of jurisdiction.
He, however, ordered that they should be remanded in a correctional facility pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions.
Emmanuel adjourned the case until Nov. 11, for hearing.
The prosecutor, Insp Chidi Leo, told the court that the defendants committed the alleged offences on Sept. 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Kawo area of Kaduna State.
Leo said that the defendants and three others now at large who were armed with cutlasses and other offensive weapons and robbed Yusuf Mairago of his Samsung phone valued at N340, 000 and N200, 000 cash.
The prosecutor further said that they also robbed one Charity Amos of her laptop valued at N200, 000, infinix phone valued at N250,000 and cash sum of N50,000.
He added that the defendants were arrested by Police on patrol in the process of robbing one Williams Baba of his belongings while the others ran away.
He said the offences contravened the Penal Code of Kaduna State, 2017.(NAN)
